Red Angus Donors
PHENOTYPE
PERFORMANCE DAMS OF DISTINCTION
The cornerstone of our Red Angus program is in the strength of our Donor
cows. We have strived to combine phenotype and performance to build a
superior genetic base of cows that provide the foundation of strong
proven family lines. We call them Dams of Distinction. These females are
being flushed to the leading bulls of the Red Angus breed. Such as:
Advance 9088, Perks Advance 121R, LCC Cheyenne, SLGN Regulator, Meado-West
Jazz, High Capacity 224, Grand Canyon, Mission Statement, Canyon 2222
and Norsemen King.

This Bodacious daughter
combines a wide top, huge hip, and awesome front end. She won 21 IJBBA
breed shows as a heifer and topped off her show career as Reserve Female
at the Iowa State Fair and World Beef Expo. Her first bull calf weaned
off at 838 lbs. with a 1359 lbs. yearling weight.
Her next calf crop included SLGN Regulator who was selected 2005
National Calf Champion and 2006 Ft. Worth Grand Champion. This year we
have ET calves by high Capacity 224 that may be her best production so
far. We also have ET’s by Advance 121R that are full sibs to SLGN
Regulator, they have a lot of potential. Bailey is being bred this year
to SLGN Santana for a natural calf in 2008. |

This cow is just plain
powerful. She is the full sister to the 2003 National Champion Female,
HCFA Miss Stony 209. Her curve bending EPDs put her in the top of the
breed for performance numbers. She will have a big impact on our future
as her first set of ET calves were flat out awesome. In 2007 she is
raising a natural heifer calf sired by SLGN Regulator.

Dam of Peek-A-Boo, the
2005 National Western Reserve Champion Female who went on to win the
2005 NAILE in Louisville, the 2006 Houston Stock Show and Reserve at
Ft. Worth. Lavonne is an extremely long bodied, sharp fronted, big
volume female that puts her stamp on every calf. She is the type of
female that a lot of bulls will work on. Her 2007 embryo calves are
really exciting, sired by SLGN Regulator, High Capacity 224 and full
sibs to Peek-A-Boo sired by Meado-West Jazz.

Unbelievable as
a calf with that perfect wedge shape, long extended front third and
super hip. She only got better as she got older and earned her
way to Grand or Reserve at four major shows. Then she amazed
us as a terrific production model raising her first calf to a 684
pound weaning weight. Her ET calves by SLGN Regulator and High
Capacity 224 are exciting, including the $14,000 sale topper at the
Red Event.

The 2005
National Champion Female. Precision dominated the showring twice
being named the Grand Champion of the National Junior Show in 2004
and 2005. She was also Grand Champion Female in 2006 at the National
Western and Ft. Worth Stock Show. She is now proving herself in
Production and may be our next dominate donor cow. We
have ET’s on the ground by SLGN Regulator that have the same
potential she showed as a calf. Precision combines big time EPD
numbers with the phenotype everybody desires to see in a cow.

Sired by Cherokee Canyon
and out of the terrific Monu 4X daughter that is a top brood matron
in the Meado-West herd. Persuasion is one of our young cows that
recently earned donor status at solution Genetics. She is extremely
well balanced and combines volume, rib shape and a big square hip
into a very easy fleshing package. She is doing a great job raising
her heifer calf sired by Vaquero and was recently flushed to UBAR
High Capacity 224. These calves will be three-quarter sibs to the
Reserve Champion bull at the 2006 National Western. Her EPD’s are
solid from end to end combining genotype and phenotype. Future
flushes are planned to Laramie and Grand Slam.
